Making homemade pet treats is a great activity to enjoy with your pet, showing them love while spending quality time together. And most importantly homemade treats are healthy, whereas store-bought treats often have preservatives and additives that might not be great for your pet. By making treats at home, you can choose safe, healthy ingredients that keep your pet happy and in good shape.
Ingredients:
1 cup of whole wheat flour
1/2 cup of peanut butter (unsalted and unsweetened)
1/4 cup of water
Steps:
Preheat your oven at 175 o C or 350 o F
Turn the flour and peanut butter together on a mixing platter.
Slowly incorporate water to form smooth workable dough.
To prepare it: Roll the dough and using a cookie cutter cut it into any shapes you desire.
Put the biscuits on baking sheet, and bake on 200 degrees, for about 15-20 minutes.
Let them cool before giving them to your dog.
Tip: Always check the peanut butter label to ensure it doesn’t contain xylitol, which is toxic to dogs.
Ingredients:
1 can of tuna in water (drained)
1 egg
1 cup of oat flour
Steps:
Preheat your oven
Mix the canned tuna, egg and oat flour in a processor until it forms a paste.
Drop spoon-size portions of the mixture and put them on another sheet lined with baking paper.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until firm the gelatin will become soft.
Let them cool before serving.
Tip: You can substitute oat flour with rice flour if your cat prefers it.
Ingredients:
1 ripe banana
1/2 cup of plain yogurt (unsweetened and unflavored)
Steps:
Mash the banana in a bowl.
You need to fold the yogurt into the egg mixture until it becomes thoroughly incorporated.
When done, pour this mixture into either a silicone molds or ice cube trays.
Chill in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours and even better if it will be solid at all.
The product can also be best sold during summer as a cold watermelon consume.
Tip: These treats are great for hot weather and a good way to give your best friend water in the process.

1/2 cup of canned pumpkin (pure, no added sugar)
1/4 cup of oat flour
1 tablespoon of olive oil
Steps:
Preheat the oven
In a bowl add pumpkin, oat flour, and olive oil
Knead the mixture to make dough.
Round the portions of dough into small rounds and slightly thicken the centre of each.
Arrange them onto baking tray and bake for 10-15 mins.
Some of the treats should cool for a little while before being served.
Tip: Pumpkin is excellent for digestion and helps with stomach issues.
